  • /ask returns answers only to its HTTP caller by default; relay responses no longer appear in Telegram automatically.
  • Telegram delivery is now an explicit opt-in via HERMES_RELAY_TELEGRAM_DELIVERY_ENABLED=true.

  • Hermes import-path detection supports both Git-checkout and legacy virtualenv layouts.

  Verification

  • Python compilation passed for app.py and hermes_client.py.
  • Live relay test returned telegram_queued: false with Telegram delivery disabled.
